We start by getting to know your relationship: what brought you in, your history together, and what you each hope will change. Early on, I use the Gottman Relationship Checkup, a research-based assessment, so our work is guided by data about your relationship's strengths and stuck points, not guesses.
-
No. My client is the relationship, not either partner. I'll sometimes challenge each of you, but my goal is to help you both feel heard and to understand the pattern you get caught in together.
-
That's common. Many people start individually, and real change is still possible when one partner shifts how they respond. I offer individual sessions focused on your relationship, and partners often join later.
-
The Gottman Method gives couples practical, research-tested tools for communication, conflict management and friendship enrichement. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps partners understand the fears and needs underneath their conflict, so they can turn toward each other instead of away. I integrate both: tools for what you do, and depth for why you do it.
-

Sessions are $225 for 60 minutes. [I don't bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.] Your first 20-minute consultation is free.

Yes. Affair recovery is one of the most common reasons couples come to me. Using the Gottman approach to affair recovery, we work through the stages of repair: addressing the betrayal honestly, rebuilding trust, and creating a new relationship together.
-
Yes, this is my passion. For couples who want it, I integrate Christian faith with research-based therapy, including premarital and marriage counseling. Faith integration is always your choice; I also work with couples of any or no faith background.
-
Studies of online couples therapy have found results comparable to in-person sessions for most couples. Many couples find it easier to be consistent when they don't have to commute, and being at home can make it easier to practice new skills where they matter.
